How do I manage the filters on my webshop?

The filters on your webshop are automatically activated. This is done based on your product properties.

An example: products have properties such as color, height, material, and so on.

These properties can all be used as filters.



You manage the filters in the CMS via the Search > Filters tab.

Here you will find all properties.


  • Under "name filter" you can change the name to a name that is more suitable for the webshop visitor.
  • Via the "filters" check box you can check and uncheck which properties you want to show as a filter on your webshop.
  • Some properties are not relevant for a customer to see (for example supplier name), which you can disable.
  • With "hide single value" you ensure that if a property only has one value, this property is not shown as a filter on the webshop. (for example, in the Men's Clothing category, all products will have the property "gender" with value "men". Because this is only one value (men), the entire filter will not be shown.)
  • At "expanded" you can determine whether you want the values of the filter expanded or collapsed.
  • You can adjust the order of the filters via the "order" field.
  • Please note: you can leave the Index and Analyze functions untouched. These ensure the correct functioning of the filters in the webshop.
  • Please note: changes to filters will be visible in your webshop the next day.


Nice to know: Filters work webshop-wide. For example, if you adjust the order, it will work this way for all places where filters are used.


Naturally, only the filters that are relevant are shown per category. (Example: you sell both clothing and watches. The "smartwatch" filter will be visible for watches, but not for clothing). This is all automated.
