Introduction

Sometimes, you may notice that products visible in your NextChapter backoffice are missing from your webshop. There are several requirements in NextChapter that must be met for a product to appear online.

Checking the Product

If your product exists in the NextChapter backoffice but is not visible on your webshop, there could be several reasons:

1. Is your product linked to a valid brand?

• A product must be linked to a brand to appear on your webshop.
• Check whether the brand linked to the product is active and has not been deleted.
• Ensure that the brand is not duplicated and that the product is linked to the correct one. If a duplicate brand was created and later deleted, the product might still be linked to the deleted version, preventing it from being displayed online.

2. Is the product linked to a valid category?

Depending on how your company associates products with categories, follow these checks to ensure the product belongs to a valid category:

• Verify that the category where you expect the product to appear is active and exists.
• If you manually assign categories, check whether the product is listed among the linked products in the respective category.
• If you assign categories based on attributes:
  • Ensure the attribute value exists.
  • Verify that the attribute value is not duplicated (similar to the brand check) and that it is enabled in the category.
• If you assign products to categories via product collections, confirm that the product is part of the relevant product collection.

3. Does the product have stock?

In most cases, products without stock are not allowed to be sold, meaning they will not appear on your webshop.

Note: If your assortment is configured to always display products regardless of stock levels, this check does not apply.
