How do I create a productset?

What is a product set?

With a product set you can offer a combination of products to your customer. On a product set overview page, various sets are presented in a clear manner that can then easily be ordered by the consumer.

For example, consider a breakfast set consisting of plates, cups and cutlery. Or, the best-known example, Shop the Look in the fashion industry. Combinations of clothing items are made that are sold as a complete set, with or without a discount.

How do you make a product set?

You will find the product sets in the CMS under Assortment > Product sets.

• You can create a category. This category name is also the name you see in the menu bar on the webshop. In the case of fashion, this is usually called Shop the Look, but you can choose your own name.
• You can create sets that you divide into categories.

Create a new set via the Add button.

1. In the General tab you can choose all kinds of settings. This way you can plan the set, for example for a special temporary promotion. You can optionally enter a discount (percentage or amount), you can add an accompanying text, and so on.

2. In the SEO tab you can enter your own page title and meta description if desired.

3. Under the Media tab, enter an image or video. The first image can be seen on the product sets overview page. If you entered a video first, it will not be shown on the overview page, but we will look at the first image. That is a conscious choice because otherwise it would become very busy on the set overview page.

4. On the Products tab, select the products you want to place in the set; OR

5. On the Product Collections tab, select a product collection (selection of products) that are included in the product set.

6. On the Categories tab, link the product set to one or more categories. You create the categories via Assortment > Product sets > Categories. 

7. On the Related product sets tab it is possible to also show other product sets on the set page.
