How do I create a Product Collection?

In this article we explain to you how to make smart use of Product Collections in your webshop.

Introduction

With Product Collections you create a group of products, automatically put together in the group based on properties.

• Once the collection is created, it will automatically be updated based on the selected properties. For example, a product collection with the property "season" + value "2025" will automatically contain all products with that property, also when new products come along. A productcollection is therefore not static, but variable.
• Products that become invalid (for example when they are sold out) will not be included in the collection.
• Once the collection is created, you can use it in multiple ways, for example in Promotions, in Categories or in Landing pages.
• Product Collections is a very powerful tooling.
  Please keep in mind that it needs correct productdata to do its work. Since properties are a highly important factor, it is important that your productdata is complete and correct.

How do I create a Product Collection?

In the CMS you find Product Collections in the section Assortiment > Products > Productcollections.

• With the use of Filters you can create advanced rules to define which products you want in your collection.
• With the AND/OR option you can define whether properties should add up (AND) or the OR-rule applies.
• You can create multiple groups.
• Within the groups you can also define AND/OR

Below you find an example.

This example is a webshop that sells shoes.

• We created 2 groups (in the screenshots marked with a black line)
• The first group looks at 2 properties: sport (value: hardlopen) + modeljaar (value: 2024).
  This means in this collection they want hardlopen shoes (running shoes) from the year 2024.
  Because of the AND (EN) value, products need to have both the Sport property and the modeljaar property.
• The second group looks at 1 property: Campagne (value: always forward wave1).

In conclusion: this productcollection contains products that have the properties Sport (hardlopen), Modeljaar (2024) and Campagne (always forward wave1). Only products that match all criteria (because of the AND selection) will be in the collection.
