Introduction
Product Personalisations is a feature name that you can interpret literally: customers can personalise the product they are buying, for example by engraving china, printing a name on a t-shirts, etc.
How to use Product Personalisations in the CMS
- In the CMS you find this feature at Assortiment > Products > Personalisation.
- Tab General:
- add a name (only visible to yourself in the CMS)
- add a price in case you charge extra for this service
- the description is a small description above the fields
- the disclaimer is a small text below the fields
- Tab Lines:
- here's where you create the fields
- add a name (only visible to yourself in the CMS)
- add a maximum number of characters that customers can fill out
- add sort order in case you show more lines at one product page
- placeholder: this is a support text shown in the fields before the consumer enters text. For example "please fill out your name here".
- Tab Unlined Products
- Now that you've created a product personalisation, you need to link products. This way the personalisation shows up on the productpages of the linked products.
- Select the products and press "link and continue".
When a customer chooses a personalisation in the webshop and adds the product to his/her cart, the personalisation will also show in the cart, checkout and order confirmation. Depending on your case it might be useful to also send the info to your fulfilment partner or ERP.
