In this article we explain how adjusting shipping costs and/or shipping countries works.
Introduction
Shipping costs and shipping countries are managed by NextChapter Support in the basic configuration. These cannot therefore be adjusted by default by you as a user. This has to do with the fact that shipping costs are part of the checkout section. If a mistake is made while changing the shipping costs, it can affect the operation of your checkout and therefore conversion. These adjustments must therefore be made very carefully.
There are 2 options to adjust shipping costs and shipping countries.
Option 1. Changes through NextChapter
NextChapter Support will adjust the shipping costs for your webshop(s) upon request. This is the most common, easiest and above all the most 'safe' way. In general, shipping costs and countries change little to rarely.
In order to adjust the shipping costs, we would like to receive the country + the new shipping costs by email.
For example:
- Netherlands: €4.95
- Belgium: €6.95
- Australia: €50,-
etc.
Option 2. Change shipping costs/countries yourself
You will have access to the management section of the shipping costs and countries and can then make the necessary adjustments yourself. This may be desirable if the shipping costs or countries in your situation need to be adjusted regularly. For this we will provide a one-time short instruction on how this part works. As indicated, we only recommend doing this when it is really necessary and your team can work accurately.
